I have a .ca domain that is registered externally (at zoneedit.com) that I'm trying to repoint to a new container here at Nodehost. However, I keep getting an error that I can't do so because of missing glue records.
Here's the email I got back from them with the support request:
I have done a search for these name servers at the .ca registry, and there are no glue records for them.
Before a .ca domain name can be delegated to .ca based name servers, glue records for the name servers must be created at the registry via the registrar for the domain name.
In this case, glue records for name servers lisa-n7.nodehost.ca and mike-n7.nodehost.ca must be created via the registrar for nodehost.ca.
So, I'm not a server tech and despite years of hosting sites on various servers over the years, repointing domains as I change hosts, etc etc....this is the first time I've come across this. Is this something that Nodehost needs to fix on their end here, or something that I need to address on the registrars end?
