Is there anyway I can embed the server status or node usage page on my site without NH branding? I want to be able to share them with my clients, but I would prefer they not my know sources.
Not all of them. I would just use the servers I actually use.
thegeek411 What stats are you after? Like the status.nodehost.ca page info? Or the usage that you see when clicking new container... For the status.nodehost.ca you can click and get more info on that node, and then do a web request to grab that page and take the contents from inside the div you need.
Yes, I am trying to info from the status.nodehost.ca page. I have not had any luck in making it work with wordpress so far. Any tips or tricks that you know of? So far I have only been able to get it to show up with an iFrame, but that shows the whole page.
thegeek411 You would need to do a AJAX request to fetch the page user end then then pull the HTML block needed, its not easy to setup. Let me see what I can do.
thegeek411 Hey so we are building a stats page with a break down of all kinds of things. So maybe we can work on that to show this info somehow. What is the important info? We do have live access to system usage percents we can render on page.
In a perfect world, I would like to be able to show the info from here and here
I could actually just embed the pages as they are except for the two links at the top. and the ref to NH
thegeek411 I am trying to make something if I can now...
thegeek411 Would a sub domain work, making a small container like status.yourservice to make it proxy our status page with some edits? I can do that if you would point a sub domain to a node I can quickly make it and send you the container transfer code. (would just be the micro small one so no costs).
Awesome. I'm googleing around trying to find something as well.
thegeek411 If you do that, like point a sub domain to say N12 I can then make it for you quickly.
Yeah, I can do that. I'll use https://status.titlegc.com
thegeek411 K, is it via CloudFlare? If so or not just CNAME that sub domain to n12.nodehost.ca and I will set it up. Got a link to your logo I can swap out for...
It will be on CF eventually, for not it is just through my registrar. New site. don't want cacheing until it is done.
thegeek411 CF has a one click turn all cache off button for development 🙂 Or you click the cloud icon under dns and it will not proxy requests and just send direct.
thegeek411 But will do, let me know when the CNAME record is in place.
Do I need to point to N12 ip or n12.nodehost.ca or does it matter?
thegeek411 Nope all good, a CNAME just says GET THE IP FROM HERE. I always use the CNAME makes things easy to find and keep track of. It's pointed I see as I just tested it.
thegeek411 Toda!!!! https://status.titlegc.com/?
thegeek411 Whats your email I will email you the transfer code to take control of the container.
Holy crap that was fast. You rock man. It is above and beyond what I was lookin for.
